WHAT WE TRANSLATE
The Polish Academic Transcript (Suplement do dyplomu / wykaz ocen)
Poland's transcript comes in a few forms. Since 2005 every degree is accompanied by the suplement do dyplomu (Diploma Supplement), a multi-page Europass-format document — often already bilingual Polish/English — listing courses, ECTS credits, and grades. Older records rely on the indeks (student grade book) or a karta przebiegu studiów / wykaz ocen issued by the dziekanat (dean's office). The university grading scale runs 2 (niedostateczny, fail), 3 (dostateczny), 3,5, 4 (dobry), 4,5, 5 (bardzo dobry), sometimes 5,5 — note the comma decimal separator and that this differs from the 1–6 secondary-school scale. A certified translation must include a legend explaining the scale, because US credential evaluators (WES, ECE) and USCIS reviewers cannot assume it. Even where the suplement is bilingual, USCIS wants a certified translation of any Polish-only stamps, signatures, and the dziekanat seal. We translate course titles, reproduce ECTS values exactly, preserve each grade with a note on its meaning, and add the scale legend so a 4,5 is never misread as a US GPA.
WHO ISSUES IT
Where Your Polish Academic Transcript Comes From
Polish academic transcripts are issued by the awarding school or university itself — the exact office and registration system are described above. Poland has been a party to the Hague Apostille Convention since 2005, so Polish documents are authenticated with a single apostille rather than US embassy legalization. USCIS REQUIREMENTS
How USCIS Wants Your Polish Academic Transcript Translated
For your Polish academic transcript, USCIS requires a complete English translation of everything on the page — the issuing office’s details, seals, and any marginal notes included — plus a signed certification of accuracy under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3). Machine translation cannot sign that certification. We reproduce the document's exact layout so an officer can compare it line by line against your Polish original.
WATCH OUT FOR
Common Polish Academic Transcript Pitfalls
Polish transcripts must preserve every subject, grade, credit, and the original grading scale so an evaluator can convert them; dropping the scale or rounding grades invites a rejection.
Native Polish Specialist
A native speaker of your document's language handles it — not a generalist or a machine.
Format-Matched to the Original
The original layout, seals, and stamps reproduced in position.
USCIS Acceptance Guaranteed
If USCIS rejects it citing the translation, we fix it free and cover your resubmission fee.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Polish academic transcript translation cost?
A standard Polish academic transcript is typically $15-25 total, certified and formatted, delivered in 24-48 hours. Pricing is $0.05 per word; longer or multi-page documents are quoted exactly before you pay.
Is your Polish academic transcript translation accepted by USCIS?
Yes. Every translation includes a signed Certificate of Accuracy meeting 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3). If USCIS rejects it citing the translation, we correct it free and reimburse your resubmission fee.
I only have the short-form odpis skrócony of my birth or marriage certificate. Is that enough?
Often the full copy (odpis zupełny) is the safer choice, because it reproduces the entire registry entry and any marginal annotations — later name changes, or a divorce noted on a marriage act — that the abridged version omits. We can translate either form; if your case turns on a name change or a dissolved marriage, request the odpis zupełny from your USC first.
